TERMINALLY ILL 4 YR OLD's CHRISTMAS WISH.

Tonight as I tuned in to my local television station, I heard the story of 4 yr old Hannah Garman who lives in my town.  She was diagnosed in late October with terminal cancer.  Her mother also died of cancer two years ago so I can only imagine the deep grief and heart wrenching pain this family is experiencing at this time.  When asked, this child's only Christmas wish is for Christmas cards, period.  As I read her online journal (found here) I sat at my computer shaking my head in disbelief repeatedly asking God to heal this child.  My thoughts drifted to my own children and I thanked the Lord for each of them.  As you do the same, remember to let them know they are special and very much loved by you.  Tuck them in and pray with them and over them.  The blessing of a child is often forgotten in our day to day routines yet God is mindful of them constantly as He is with all of us.  Before you buy one more Christmas present or wrap yet another gift please, please think of little Hannah. Consider sending this precious child a Christmas card.  You can find her story and the address at this link.  For every parent, step-parent, foster parent, relative, friend or neighbor who cares for a child, please pray for Hannah and this family.  They need a miracle that God alone can provide.

GBY!  Barbara

Barbara ~ I may not be able to donate as in past years, but I can certainly afford to send a Christmas card to this little girl.  It's on its way.

The last I heard, the family is so overwhelmed by all the attention, started by a couple of Hannah's Aunts over last weekend in an email campaign, but yet they are so thankful for the many, many prayers and loving cards. Here's a part of one reply from Hannah's Aunt Sheri: The community has really come together and we are overwhelmed with all the support right now! She got 700 cards today! Tomorrow 30-40 fire engines are coming to deliver the hundreds of cards they have collected. On Monday Mrs. Galaxy 09 is coming to visit her. Someone is bringing their puppies over to cheer her up - its been very exciting!  God's love is being poured out on this family and little girl, it's very moving .... thank you for helping spread the Good News... keep praying.

Barbara: Such a horror a sick child. I can understand how unbelievers see this and doubt. But, I know my redeemer is supreme and sovereign and I trust Him. I grieve with you over this sick baby and pray our Papa will save her.

PS. thank you for the kind and encouraging comments on my post about not buying for my family for Christmas but giving instead to a dying Mom of 5 in the DR. GBU!!!!! It was encouraging to me...Kelly

Hi Kelly: You are very welcome. God's love and peace are in the midst of this sadness. He can be fully trusted in all things. The update this morning on the news spoke about the caravan of over fifty fire companies who traveled to a gathering of hundreds of residents at a school in Lititz to shower Hannah with thousands of cards.  We believe along with her family for a miracle.  GBU! Barbara :)
