Psalm 147:3- "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (NKJV)
God loves the brokenhearted. He understands their pain and the anguish of a heart broken by shattered dreams, unfulfilled promises, mistaken identities and loss. Many hoping to find true love along their broken road are left alone and lost in both time and emotion. But God tracks the many days and years lost because of choices made along the way -- a way marked by emotional stop signs and one-way highways not pointing in the direction of His saving grace and mercy. He redeems time lost along one's broken road, if they seek Him and find Him along the way. Every long lost dream can lead to where Jesus abides when we turn our thoughts from the past and keep our eyes focused on Him. I often think of the time I lost when my broken road pointed me in the wrong direction. I made decisions birth from childhood and adulthood scars of emotional and physical pain that created my broken road. Looking back, I know it was all part of the grander plan -- allowed by God to show Himself faithful as my Rescuer, Knight In Shining Armor, Romance Connoisseur, Healer, Deliverer and Friend. If your heart is broken and laid bare on a road torn and battered by others, begin to look for the signs pointing to Jesus. Give up contended with God and striving to understand your broken road. You can't. Only He can fix the ditches and pave a new way to His heart. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (NKJV) His love will resurface your broken road. Give thanks for the friends who were like Northern Stars along the way and remember; you are not alone. God will bless your broken road when you allow yourself to fall in to His everlasting arms of love.

It is often hard to forget the past, even when God erases it - at least our sins, from His memory. We can lose steam and be inneffective if we focus on the past and get down. Music and prayer for me, get me back on track and focused. Of course and reading the Word. Great mi ...

Barbara, What a very inspiring post. I remind myself often to leave it in God's hands, and know that I am forgiven. Often the hardest part is forgiving ourselves.
Thank you Barb -- I think most people have a broken road along the way and learning to forgive oneself is part of the journey. Isn't is good to know God already has so? Thanks for your comments and GBU! Barbara :)
