The Point Of Grace

The Point Of Grace

In early October some of us with the Lancaster Community Choir were asked to sing with Point Of Grace at their Christmas concert being held in December. On the way home from practice last night I thought about the phrase 'point of grace' and its meaning in my life.  What is this marvelous grace that was given to us by God?  By definition grace is "unmerited favor" or good will.  Another definition is "a manifestation of favor, esp. by a superior."  Manifestation being that which has already been revealed.  In the point of grace, it is the love poured out by Christ Jesus to us while we were still yet sinners.  Amazing Grace!  Close your eyes and think about this statement. The Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One who breathe life in to your body, He who offers you unconditional, unchangeable, everlasting love, unlimited protection and all provision -- gives us His grace. What a humbling thought! The depth and intensity of God's love never stops amazing me. My Bible says that He calls me His special treasure (Exodus 19:5 NKJV) and if that's not enough, it also speaks of His knowledge of me while I was still in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:15-16 NKJV.  At times in my life when I've disappointment my children, my family and myself, God was there to offer me His grace.  During this special season think about what the Lord has offered you through the simple extension of His hand of grace. Thank Him for this freely given gift of love and make it your desire to never take His grace for granted.

GBY!  Barbara :)

"point of grace" that caught my eye, I just started going to a church called Grace Point. God's Grace--some of us still don't get it. It's all Grace plus nothing. Can't earn it. Can't buy it. Just have to receive it. Praise God.
