God's ways are always different than we imagine.
God's ways are always the best ways.
My take on the above:
1. Feeling you have to measure up to a standard in order to be used by God is the world's thinking. He'll take your mess then give you a message and send you on your way [your destiny], if you just ask! 1 Chronicles 4:10
2. His grace covers our guilt. Be faithufl in what He imparts to you. Matthew 25:21
3. Be humble. Empty yourself of everything "flesh" and be like the bottom of a dry pond. As with the rain, God's love will then be able to fill you up. Matthew 6:2
4. Ask yourself this. Am I taking things into my own hands when life gets messy or am I trusting God? In Him, there is safety. Proverbs 29:25
5. Live in peace with others and avoid angry people. Pray for them instead of being their prey. Proverbs 22:24
6. Get rid of your agenda and stop wrestling with God. Genesis 32:24-26
7. Keep prayer simple. Afterall, you're talking to God not reciting a dissertation. Matthew 6:7
8. Gain strength in struggles by using the power within you as a Believer - the Holy Spirit. Trust and believe that you can do all things through Christ Jesus! Philippians 4:13
9. No matter what you are facing ask that God's will be manifested in the situation. His grace will cover you. 2 Corinthians 12:9
10. Words are meaningless unless you make them meaningful. Romans 12:2
11. WHO'S YOUR DADDY? The Lord is your Rock and Salvation! He is your Strong Tower and Defense! Your Shield! Your Strength! Your Fortress and Deliverer! If your faith can move a mountain why are you allowing mountains to move you? Psalm 16:8
12. When was the last time you gave up your child for a stranger? John 3:16
God's ways are always the best ways.
Is it logical that God would send a person who is seated in a wheelchair since childhood into the mission field in a Third World country? Most people would say no but He does. I have learned not to reason myself out of situations that I know God is leading me in even when, logically speaking, it makes no sense in the natural. Allow God to lead you by the unction of the Holy Spirit and the Truth of His Word.

Barbara-and while the whole process of recovery in our industry and our economy some scripture that I have been meditating on.
When I think that I know how to make things turn around-"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5
When I think that God isn't looking out for me-"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
And finally for our country-"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
Hi Neil: Those are the three scriptures that have been very meanngful in my life.
God's ways defy all logic. If we try to do life our way we quite possibly will miss the greater blessing when God makes his move.
Thank you for your post and for sharing these scriptures with us. Barbara :)
Barbara ...wow! I can't decide which one is my favorite. They are all so true and wise. Well... they would be wouldn't they? They are God's word. Thank you for including the scripture links. Wonderful post. I am bookmarking!
Hi Sharon: You're most welcome! Gotta love His Word! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. God bless!! Barbara
I agree with everything you posted EXCEPT the title. God's ways ARE logic. It is our human foolishness that make it seem not to be.
Thanks for another great post! I saw your last comment and I receive it. Coming your way! The kids are doing great! All is good!
Hi Leslie: Thank you for your post and visit -- please come back again. Barbara
Hi Chuck: Glad to hear your family is doing well! Kids grow up way too fast. Thanks for your post and your encouragement. GBY! Barbara :)
Sister Barbara you hit the nail on the head. It's not about us. And i'm so glad.
Wonderful words of wisdom Barbara. We can either trust God's direction or try it our way. After reflecting on Exodus 14 this morning, I know I don't want to wander in the wilderness for 40 years and still end up missing out on God's best for me. His path may look hard sometimes, but it's always shorter and sweeter than choosing our own.
Hi Robert: I appreciate your post. Thank you for your thoughts and visit! Please stop by again. God bless you! Barbara
Hi Judy: It gets challenging in the wilderness -- I've been there myself. To read about trusting God is easy but when the rubber meets the road the only way truly is God's way.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and wonderful insight! Barbara :)
I need these daily reminders in life . Thank YOu
Hi Kevin: You'e welcome!... and welcome to 'the secret place'. Thanks for your post and please stop by again. Barbara

Barbara,
It's taken me years to see that the paths of righteousness are where I want to go. Sometimes those paths aren't the easiest to travel, but they're much more rewarding in the end. Thanks for the post.
Hi Andrew: Welcome to 'the secret place'!! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with the group. Please come by again and God bless you!! (Wilkes Bare,PA. was my old stomping ground, many, many light years ago!) Barbara :)
The most important part is if God's ways were like ours what would the use be. To know there is a deity out there ABOVE all things warms my heart. Man will fail you everyday but the Lord never will.
Precisely Robert. Thanks for your insight. God bless! Barbara
Great blog! Thanks for all your comments! God is God. God Bless
Hi Bradley -- thanks for your post, I appreciate your visit! Barbara
Hi Barbara,
Sometimes we ask " Where is God when we need Him?" I am sure that the turmoil in our industry is causing alot of us to ask that question. When we get past this time in our lives we will look back and Thank God for carrying us through. Footprints in the Sand.
Thanks for your inspirational post!!
Hi Steve and Kim: Amen to that! This too shall pass! Thanks for sharing your encouraging insight. Have a blessed day! Barbara

Perfect timing, just the words we were needing to hear while trying to know whether or not we have heard God correctly during some financial struggles. We will remember "God's ways defy all logic." Thank you!
