Today was an exciting and a receiving day for me. Please allow me share.
During my Open House I began reading a book called, "Humility" by Andrew Murray. I couldn't put it down even trying to hold it under my arm while chatting with buyers. This book speaks of the humility of Jesus from His incarnation and life on earth to His atonement, ascension and exaltation to the Throne Room of God and explains that humility is the secret of redemption. I recommend it for anyone.
But before my day started I listened to a CD that I hadn't heard for a few years. I put it on again after my 12 yr old son Jordan, went to his youth group tonight.
The CD is called "Live from South Africa - Winds of Worship" by Vineyard music. With a calling to South Africa in due season, the words began to play once again. My spirit leaped with joy as His sweet yet heavy Presence began to cover me. The praise catapulted me right before His Throne Room. With my head on the keyboard and eyes dripping with tears, I worshipped Him. He met me where I was. Just me and my Love, finally alone and together at last. Drifting in and out of my physical whereabouts then once again drunk in His Presence, the stillness of His power overwhelmed me and I grew limp, paralyzed by the love of God who would visit with me here.
With eyes closed I imagined standing in the fields of South Africa praising the Lord in spirit and in truth - in the purity of who He is; God the Father, God Almighty, The Everlasting Father, Prince Of Peace, King Of Kings and Lord Of Lords, Jehovah God, Love! All Sovereign, all Holy, all Knowing, all Pure, all Righteous, all Truth!
I want to share some lyrics with you.
Praise the Father, praise the Son
In the Spirit worship Him,
Bring your blessings, worship Him now
Invite Him in this place
Clap your hands and sing to Him now
Lift your voice to Him
Bring presents to His altar
Praise the Lord, my God o' my soul
And all my being praises Him
He laid aside His Throne just for you
He forgives you all your sins
And heals all your diseases
Lord of the morrning
God of the night
Give ear to all my praise
Great Commander, Giver of life
Restore my heart's desire
Glory and honor be unto Thee
Great Marshall and Great King
I will sing a brand new song to Thee
GBY! Barbara :)
