got milk?

 - got milk?  Yes, that's a need for many of us; babies, children and adults alike.  But what if you ran out of milk on a Saturday morning as you finished baking chocolate chip cookies?  Well, you either do without the milk and get it later or rush off to the nearest grocery store and get it now.  Right?

God supplies our need.

The Lord promises in His Word to "supply all of our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)  It is a done deal, already established in heaven only to be manifest in one's life.  The direct manifestation of His provision is a result of and exercised through faith.  Believe the need is met and wait upon the Lord.  The reason one may not ‘see' it yet isn't because God has not kept His Word, it's because the season may not be right for you to receive the provision yet.  Many children of God become impatient thus the decision to make the need happen falls back on the believer who then "leans on their own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5-6) thus, not trusting God and His Word.  This almost always results in poor judgment, and perhaps an irreversible mistake.  Not trusting God is unbelief which is sin.  God tells us, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11) BELIEVE that God will perform His Word.  "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19)  Trust fully and completely in His promises and ALL things will come to pass in due season.

Barbara: The milk of human kindness and God's promise; nay COVENANT to His Creation. They go together. God has never let me down, whether it is milk or Living Water that I thirst for. You are right; it is not Our season, but God's. When we trust in God, it just FLOWS. Great post!   -Pete

I like those scriptures and we thinking about them yesterday.  I needed to be reminded of them today.  Thanks so much. You're a blessing.

Hi Pete:  Thanks for the post.  As in the example above of milk needed with the cookies, God provides for very need we may have,  perhaps not right away but in due season.  Barbara :)

Barbara, a great lead-in to a powerful message.  I especially like the part about the season - God's timing not ours.

Hi Steve:  Thanks for your post -- a good lesson I've learned is it's all in His timing not mine.  Barbara :)

Hi Barbara -- I wanted to say you're cooking with milk in your post -- a greatly inspirational post.  Then I thought of that wonderfu scripture in Hebrews 5:11 where Paul is teaching that when getting acquainted with the word again (or for the first time) you need milk, not solid food.  But living on milk alone is not enough; we need solid food (i.e., Christian maturity) to prosper in the knowledge of the Word of God and of righteousness!  Praise the Lord, and God bless you!

God supplies our needs.  We just have to let him in to deliver them.

Hi Barbara -- "Believe that God will perform His word," will be the quote that I'll be standing on for my client. They have been hindered in every way from what it is they have set out to do. It is difficult to watch them suffer, but I believe that what they need will eventually come.

Carol:  Thank you for your post ... and SO true. Each man is given a measure of faith.  When we walk with someone and believe along with them, the strength to endure and to see a situation through to victory gets elevated.  Faith is powerful so keep pushing through anything that would hinder your client from gaining victory. Thanks again.  Barbara :)

Hi Cheryl: I agree. Leaning on one's own understanding is a path leading to fear and failure -- trusting in the Lord is a path bringing peace and victory. Thanks for visiting and for your post.  Please visit again.  Barbara :)
