- got milk? Yes, that's a need for many of us; babies, children and adults alike. But what if you ran out of milk on a Saturday morning as you finished baking chocolate chip cookies? Well, you either do without the milk and get it later or rush off to the nearest grocery store and get it now. Right?
God supplies our need.
The Lord promises in His Word to "supply all of our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19) It is a done deal, already established in heaven only to be manifest in one's life. The direct manifestation of His provision is a result of and exercised through faith. Believe the need is met and wait upon the Lord. The reason one may not ‘see' it yet isn't because God has not kept His Word, it's because the season may not be right for you to receive the provision yet. Many children of God become impatient thus the decision to make the need happen falls back on the believer who then "leans on their own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5-6) thus, not trusting God and His Word. This almost always results in poor judgment, and perhaps an irreversible mistake. Not trusting God is unbelief which is sin. God tells us, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11) BELIEVE that God will perform His Word. "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19) Trust fully and completely in His promises and ALL things will come to pass in due season.
